Pt. Rajin Balgobind
Pt. Rajin Balgobind
It started on April 29, 2004. With just a small crowd on a Thursday evening, Pandit Rajin quickly cast his charm over the devotees of the Devi Mandir. The word spread that a young and dynamic Pandit had the ability to energize a crowd and make everyone feel that he or she was taking part in a mystical experience.

Born in Berbice Guyana and raised in New Jersey, Pandit Ji decided to move back to Guyana after completing his education and was faced with the reality of numerous Hindus converting to other religions. Pandit Ji decided not to sit back and watch this occur, thus his decision to give up his family business to pursue a religious life.

Pandit Rajin then found himself in India on a scholarship to learn Hindi and Sanskrit and was afforded the opportunity to deeply research the Hindu texts and scriptures. Presently, Pandit Rajin travels to India every few months to enhance his knowledge of the scriptures through the guidance of his Guru.

To the devotees who were able to attend all the sessions, they were left breathless each night, wanting more and wishing Pandit Ji would not stop. Saturday evening's Katha featured the birth of Lord Krishna and was truly a divine experience, leaving devotees in awe and immense bliss.

Pandit Rajin distinguishes himself from other Pandits because of his love and passion for the Hindu way of life. His inward feelings are reflected outwards during his discourses. He possesses the uncanny ability to teach young children about their religion while still maintaining a light and humorous atmosphere. Many of the Devotees at the Devi Mandir

To Pandit Rajin, we wish to express our sincerest thanks for four magical sessions of Bhagavad Gita Katha and we look forward to having him grace the walls of Devi Mandir in the future.

Go to this website and you'll see exactly what people from India and their offspring think about Guyanease Indians. Why Indian people from Indian and their offsrping discriminate against Guyanease Indians is really beyond me, but anyway go to this website. Since Indian people from India discriminate against Guyanease Indians then it is off my honest opinion that the Indian High Commission in Guyana should be removed since it holds no place in Guyana. An Indian girl who's parents we're orginally from India asked me where my parents we're from and when I told her Guyana she said 'YOUR MIXED', which led me to beleive that she thought I was mixed race being born from a either a black mother or black father which incidentially I'm not. I'm the same fare skinned colour as this gril. This left me speechless and very upset at
