Shri Prakash Goaasi was, most undoubtedly the greatest exponent of the Shri Raam Charitamaanas of Gowswaami Tulasi Daas Ji. I believe (as many do) that he was infact, the re-incarnation of Sant TulasiDaas indeed. His contributions not only to the Hindu Community worldwide, but to Humanity at large, made tremendous impact and will continue to inspire the lives of all who knew him, whether directly or indirectly.

To many children (and even adults; some older than him), he was known as Guruji - one who we can all turn to in our most dark and trying times for answers.

But to us, who would be with him every single moment of his undertakings of spreading the message of Satya Sanaatan Dharma, he was "Master"! A personality befitting very much the title. The most divine glow on his face would melt our fears, trials and tribulations away instantaneously!

He possessed a personality beyond description, to the young ones...he was a parent and a teacher. To the teenagers...he was a colleague and a professor as well, and to the adults...he was a peer of incomparable simplicity or even the highest knowledge. However, whatever the relationship was, Guru Ji was always a friend to all.

Guru Ji, the waves that ever so flowed from your majestic ocean of love and knowledge have not stopped; this we want you to know.
Every word of yours, every advise, warning, joke, and especially the Kathaas, the music and songs...will always be heard and sung again and again throughout the entire world.

And like Bhagwaan Shri Hanumaan, you too have become eternal on this earth! For...as long as the mountains stand tall, the rivers flow wide, and the name of God is sung...you will always be there! This is my firm believe, and my firm faith.

The Raamaayana was and always will be one of the most beautiful guide for Humanity, but when it come from your lips...it sounded so much sweeter!

We thank you for being you, Master. And we promise to forever live up to your words and standards; which are and always will be -----

Tribute to the legendary son of Guyana Shri Prakash Gossai

GOD gave a gift to the world when he was born, a person who loves, who cares and shares when he sees a person's urgent need he fills with his smile, love and compassion and who encourages and lifts people up, who spends his entire life and energy on others more than himself, someone who touches each life he enters and left genuine prints of kindness, love and simplicity and make a difference in the world, because ripples of kindness flows outward as each person he has touched, touches others.

His life and legacy deserves to be celebrated in special way because he was a special treasure for all that he has done and he has built many bridges of true friendship.

May the love he has shown to others, out of his deep caring heart, out of his pure wisdom, out of his strength be multiplied as we reflect and celebrate his legacy, so that others will appreciate his life as much as we do.

I’m Still Here

Deaths end a relationship but not love…
Dear Friends, please don't mourn for me
I’m still here, though you don't see me.
I'm right by your side each night and day
And within your heart I long to stay.
My body is gone but my love is always near.
I’m everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I’ll never depart
As long as you keep me alive in your heart.
I’ll never wander out of your sight-
I’m the brightest star on a summer night.
I’ll never be beyond your reach-
I’m the warm moist sand when you’re at the beach.
I’m the colorful leaves when autumn’s around
And the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I’m the beautiful flowers of which you’re so fond,
the clear cool water in a quiet pond.
I’m the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
the first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I’m the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
And you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.
When you start thinking there’s no one to love you,
You can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
And you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.
I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I’m the smile you see on a baby’s face.
Just look for me, friend, I’m every place!

I remain yours in service to God and Humanity

I met Prakashji back in 1987, well before he became a prominent 'katha vacak'. In my other meetings he was always the same humble individual i had met.I can safely say fame did not go to his head.
I would like to thank Prakashji for the legacy he has left even in death. Like a little Hanumanji he went around the world saying Ram! Ram! Ram! and in death he has forced us to reflect on the question of Yaksa to Yudhishthira from the Mahabharata "kimascaryam". The greatest cause for astonishment in the world is that even though we see it happening all around us,we think it will not happen to us. DEATH, therefore we should discontinue our carelessness and practise devotion to our LORD. We don't know when that time will come. Practise as Prahalad Maharaj said "kaumara acaret prajno" even from a small child.

Sita Ram

Let us Hindus be inspired by the life Sri Prakash ji, and now continue from where he left, so his life would have not been spent in vain. May this great pillar of strenght and devotion, though not physically there, be in our minds to hold on to whenever in need.

God Bless,

Jai Shree Raam! A great soul has continued it's journey unto its next phase leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion for Sanatan Dharma. It is now up to us to continue living the principles of Sanatan Dharma to honour Prakashji. If each of us can live one more principle with discipline and devotion, Prakashji's vision will live on.

Can each of us live Satya [truth] & Ahimsa [non-injury to self and others] in thoughts, words and action if not for always, at least for the next 13 days to honour Prakashji...

Love & Peace

I'm not able to believe that Prakash ji is not there in physical form.We are in a shock.Words are helpless to express the emotions for such a great soul.In 2006 I performed at his New York temple and was given so much love and affection by this great mahatma. He again ushered his blessings by inviting to sing under his guidance at Akshardham Mandir in Toronto.I could feel his deep connection with Prabhu RAM. His humbleness as a Guru will be a guiding torch for many preachers.I actually extend my Pranaam to his family members and disciples for being blessed to be with him for so many years. We all will be missing him though he is there with us always.
I,Manesh Khullar and my family, offer heartfelt sympathies.Respected Prakash ji will always be with us as guiding power.

Pl let me know if I can do something for his memorial service.

Jai Shree Ram.

"Jai Shree Ram". I can still distinctly here those beautiful word uttered from the lips of Guruji. I must say that I have listening and learned from his insightful preachings over the past several years which has left an imprint in my heart forever. His sudden death will be a loss of magnitude to our culture and community. It was a blessing for me to be one of your god children and may Lord Shiva reward him for a life completely devoted to inspiring Hindism and Dharma. As our scriptures say
“The one who shall propagate this supreme secret philosophy (or transcendential knowledge of the Gita) amongst my devotees, shall be performing the highest devotional service to Me, and shall certainly (attain Parama-dhama and) come to Me.” (Bhagavad Gita; Chapter 18; Verse 65). May you rest in peace Guruji until we meet again in Ayodhya.

Namaste

It is with great sadness as the Host of Arya Samaj Internet Radio, that I would like to offer our deepest Sympathy and Condolences and Love on the passing of Shri Prakash Gossaiji.

Prayers for togetherness and love for Shri Prakashji's family and the entire Hindu community. May the pain of loss and separation and the emotional pain that is felt by every member of his family and the Hindu community at large, be eased by the legacy that Prakashji has left with us. Let us all, regardless of our ethnic background or belief, or our stature in life, take the goodness of his life's teaching and in practicing it, he will live on.

On 2 occasions I have worked with Prakashji, on the religious platform. Once in Guyana at a 3 day Yajna in Filicity Mahaiconey and later in Canada at the Vedic Cultural Centre at the memorial service of our late brother Satyadeo Sawh.. It was an honor to have worked with him and he was very accommodating in accepting on the spot changes of events as they unfold. Very Simple, humble and loved his religion.

There are some souls for whom the stream of devotion flows, and there are some others for whom the stream of love flows.

May the stream of love and the stream of devotion flows for the soul of Sri Prakashji that will reincarnate if not yet received emancipation.

Om Krato Smara, Klive Smara, Kritam Smara

How can words of sympathy and condolences ever truly express what is in the heart?

We offer our heartfelt sympathies, and yet, we ourselves are broken by the loss of this mahatma. His light will never be extinquished. It lives on in our memories, in our daily lives, when we live closer to his teachings of love and respect. It lives on in the bhajans we sing, and in the books he wrote.
